Fuel Policy for Van Hire - Rhyl

Effective Date: 28/11/2024

At Kerbside Hire, we want to ensure a smooth and transparent experience for all our customers. Our fuel policy is designed to make the process of renting a van as clear and simple as possible. Please read the following terms and conditions related to fuel before you hire a vehicle.

1. Fuel Type

All of our vans run on Diesel Fuel  and are supplied with a full tank of fuel at the time of hire.

Please ensure that the vehicle is returned with the same level of fuel it had when you received it.

2. Fuel Levels on Pickup and Return

  • Pickup: The van will be supplied with a full tank of fuel, or at a specified level that will be noted on your rental agreement.
  • Return: The van must be returned with the same amount of fuel as it had when picked up. If the fuel level is lower than when you received the vehicle, you will be charged for the fuel required to top up the van to the same level.

3. Fuel Charges

If the van is returned with less fuel than when it was collected, a refuelling charge will apply. This charge will be based on the current cost of fuel at the time of the rental plus a service fee for the refuelling. The amount will be detailed in your rental agreement, and you will be notified of the charge upon return of the van.

4. Prepaid Fuel Option

We offer a Prepaid Fuel Option for customers who prefer not to worry about refuelling the van before returning it. With this option, you can pay for a full tank of fuel in advance. You may return the van with any fuel level, and no additional refuelling charges will apply. However, please note that any unused fuel will not be refunded.

5. Fueling Locations

We recommend that you refuel the van at a reputable fuel station close to the return location to ensure that the fuel level is accurate and fair. If you are unsure about where to refuel the vehicle, please feel free to ask our staff for guidance.

7. Fuel Refunds

We do not offer fuel refunds for unused fuel when the vehicle is returned with more fuel than it had when collected.

8. Responsibilities of the Hirer

  • Ensure the vehicle is returned with the appropriate fuel level.
  • Refill the vehicle before return if necessary to avoid refuelling charges.
  • Keep the vehicle’s fuel receipt as proof of refuelling, which may be requested upon return.

By following our fuel policy, you can help ensure the return process is smooth and avoid any unexpected charges.

If you have any questions about our fuel policy or need assistance with refuelling, please do not hesitate to contact us before or during your hire.
